disTHIS.com is a website that provides for listings of products and services for sale, an auction facilitation service and storefronts.

In order to participate on the site you must be a Member.  In order to become a Member of the site, you must;

disTHIS.com provides listing space for items for sale, classified ads, storefronts and auctions for a fee.

Unless specifically noted, we do not sell the items on the site, nor do we monitor the content of ads or listings. 

disTHIS.com, Umbrella Media Group, any related or supporting companies, software suppliers, network websites, partner sites or other affiliation are not responsible for any losses in any capacity resulting from listings on this site.

This includes but is not limited to financial losses, losses in public perception, goodwill, or other claims.  This disclaimer may not apply to you depending on your locale.  In that event, our limit of liability will not exceed the value of the last payment to disTHIS.com.

We make no guarantee as to the suitability of our site for your purposes nor to the success of any ads or listings placed on the site.

We reserve the right to place ads on any page of the site including listings and storefronts without notice or payment to anyone.

We reserve the right to remove listings that violate the community standards of the site.  These instances will be handled on a per incident basis.

EMAIL AND INFORMATION HARVESTING

Using the disTHIS.com site to harvest email addresses or other personal information WITHOUT their permission is expressly prohibited.  Members in violation of this policy will be removed from the site.

SELLERS RESPONSIBILITIES

LEGALITY OF PRODUCTS FOR SALE - It is the SELLERS responsibility to ensure the product for sale is legal to be sold in the USA.  If you are selling outside the USA, SELLERS must also ensure the product they are exporting is legal to be exported and legal to be IMPORTED to the BUYER and the COUNTRY. 

ACCURATE PORTRAYAL OF PRODUCTS FOR SALE - It is also the SELLERS responsibility to accurately describe the product or service for sale.  If the product is USED, you must speficy that it is USED (certain used products are not sellable on disTHIS - including soiled undergarments and used cosmetics or other personal use items - see the list below for more).

FALSE PORTRAYALS - posting an item with materially false information, such as stating NEW IN THE BOX when it is actually refurbished and repackaged, or an incorrect model number, photo, or other information that would lead the BUYER to believe they were getting something different is prohibited.  ITEMS found to be in violation of this policy will be suspended or removed from the site without notice.  SELLERS found to be in intentional violation of this policy will have all listings removed, any storefronts closed and all activities reported to the appropriate authorities.  

If the item is a replica or a copy or a reproduction you must state that clearly. 

Photo and description use - you may not use photos or descriptions from other listings without the listing owners' permission.

COMPLETION OF TRANSACTION - SELLERS must complete the transaction within a reasonable timeframe according to the original sales agreement UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT.  Items that are not available for immediate delivery upon receipt of payment must be CLEARLY NOTED on the listing page.  SELLERS who do not complete their transactions may have their REPUTATION reduced and / or Membership removed.

This does not apply if the SELLER has not received (verified) PAYMENT or if the SELLER is unable to verify a shipping address or legal recipient.

LINKING TO OUTSIDE SITES - you may not use the site to link to a site outside disTHIS.com or the Umbrella Media Group Network.  Listings with external links will be removed without refund.

BID INFLATION - Artificially inflating the price or bid of your product by bidding on your own product, having other people you know bid on your products is EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED - this includes family, friends, employees, employers, the bus driver that takes you to work.. essentially ANYONE that has ANY connection to you in a personal fashion can NOT bid on your items in the AUCTION format.  Direct sales from your disTHIS storefront are absolutely welcome.

FAKE BIDS - Bidding on an item without intent to actually complete the transaction is prohibited.  Bidders in violation of this will be removed from the site.  If the action is found to be criminal, the activity will be reported to the proper authorities.

PROHIBITED ITEMS - include but are not limited to: alcohol, live animals, prohibited animal products including organs, artifacts, cell phone service contracts, used underwear, soiled used clothing, used cosmetics, current or expired credit cards, controlled substances, steroids, narcotics, drug paraphernalia, water pipes, wired rolling papers, cable descramblers, radar jamming devices, programmed smart cards, embargoed goods, products from prohibited countries, illegal services, stun guns, firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, nunchuks, brass (or other material) knuckles, saps, switchblades, realistic looking replica weapons, bb guns, crossbows, eavesdropping/wiretapping devices, government documents, items that threaten national security, military, police, postal service, shipping company or utility provider uniforms, badges or identification cards, military medals, certificates, ribbons and/or awards, government id, passports, drivers licenses, travel documents, current license plates, government license plates, blueprints, proprietary information, trade secrets, gift cards with values over $500, illegal acts, prostitution services, adult content of any type containing depictions of anyone under the age of 18 IN ANY CAPACITY, body parts, human remains, human organs, blood, sperm, eggs, bones, railway tools, hazardous materials, restricted materials, toxins, bacteria, radioactive material, toxic waste, refrigerants, freon, nuclear items, any item restricted by the US Postal Service, lottery tickets, harvested mailing lists, morally questionable content, racially intolerant items, societally unacceptable items, copyrighted materials, expired coupons, lock picking or locksmithing devices or instructions, contact lenses, prescriptions, medical services, medical procedures, non-collectible prescription eyeglasses, ventilators, intubators, pacemakers, slot machines, recalled items, copyrighted materials, multilevel marketing programs, pyramid schemes, sexual services, travel club memberships, noxious weeds, seeds from prohibited plants, cigarettes, tobacco, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco, cigars and smokeless tobacco, stocks, bonds, investment services, warez, hacks, cracks, password sharing sites or information, personally identifying information.

Please be aware our Terms of Service in no way limit those of your payment processor.

ADULT / MATURE PRODUCTS - Legally sellable adult items MUST be listed in the ADULT sections - listings we consider adult may be moved at our sole discretion. 

Items that would fall under this category include any items, products or services that are predominantly over 18 in nature, organized adult club trips and conferences, magazines, website memberships, photos, sexual aids, clothing, etc.  Listing in this section simply keeps the general sites free of things that we don't want the kids to see.

**Please be aware our Terms of Service in no way limit those of your payment processor.  For example - Paypal does not allow certain adult items to be sold using their service.  Please be sure to check that so you don't find yourself in violation of your processor's TOS.**

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPLETION OF TRANSACTION - it is the BUYERS responsibility to complete the transaction according to the terms of the listing including remitting payment and acceptable shipping information.  BUYERS who do not complete their transactions may have their REPUTATION reduced and / or Membership removed.  This does not apply if the item was misrepresented or removed from the service.
