disTHIS, the cripculture experience is an online ezine serving syndicated content to the
umbrellamediagroup network and other interested websites and pages.
You can submit your article online here where it will be reviewed by a disTHIS editor, or if you prefer, you can
register for a writers account here.
We reserve the right to refuse to publish ANY submission for any reason.
The content we look for offers useful, interesting or offbeat information that relates to the disability community in some way.
While we are predominantly disability related, articles do NOT specifically HAVE to be about disability. Topics BY writers with disabilities can be anything at all.
Submissions are invited from any interested writer or their duly authorized representative.
Submissions can be on any topic, from ANY geographic location as long as it relates to disability in some manner.
Geographically specific articles are welcome including articles on individuals, government at any level and any topic that is currently of interest in your area.
Of particular interest are topics regarding advocacy, parenting, travel, lifestyle and entertainment.
Articles can be any length, and if approved can contain photos. Photo use permission must be grantable.
We will publish ORIGINAL poetry, short stories, fiction, non-fiction, jokes, recipes and announcements.
Essays in the first person relating to life with a disability are always welcome as are jokes and funny stories as well
as practical tips on life with a disability.
Product reviews on adapted equipment of all kinds must be FIRST HAND and unpaid.
Entertainment reviews (movies, music, books etc) are NOT required to have disability content.
We have no hard and fast rules as to length but for beginners to writing, we've put some SUGGESTED lenghts in brackets.
Please use the number of words you need to make your point.
